New Director of NBAS Training

Congratulations to Yvette Blanchard, PT, ScD, PCS, who has become the Director of NBAS training!  Yvette, a Pediatric Physical Therapist, has been an NBAS Trainer in the United States since 1999, when she joined trainers Jean Cole, Thembi Ranuga, Beth Higley and Cecilia Matson.  Yvette has conducted NBAS training in settings around the world since then.  As Director on NBAS Training, she takes over from Kevin Nugent, who, in turn, took over from Heidelise Als, who was the first NBAS Trainer, beginning in the mid-1970s.  In her new role as Director of NBAS Training,  Yvette has introduced a new on-line virtual NBAS training program.    Yvette has worked extensively with high-risk infants and children with disabilities in different clinical settings and has published numerous articles and book chapters relating to the field of pediatric physical therapy and early intervention with high-risk infants.  She is Professor of Physical Therapy in the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science, Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Connecticut.
